International. Improving the lives of the people of the communities near its facilities is the objective of PPG's international Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program "Colorful Communities".
So far, the "Colorful Communities" initiative has already changed to the better lives of the people who benefit from the open school in an American neighborhood of Pittsburgh, the shape and beautification of the main entrance of a children's hospital near Quattordio, in Italy, and the painting of a large mural in a busan senior center, in South Korea.
Sue Sloan, CEO of the PPG Industries Foundation and mural Corporate Social Responsibility: "The goal of Colorful Communities is to take care of others, create a lasting social engagement collaboration with PPG volunteers, and encourage others to invest in where they live and work. It revolves around revitalizing places where people, and especially children, spend their time."
"Over the next ten years, PPG plans to invest more than $10 million in various projects around the world, where employee volunteers, our products and our charitable giving resources can contribute to bringing new colors and vitality to the communities in which we operate," said Chuck Bunch, President and CEO of PPG Industries.
