Colombia. The Orbis Group announced that its president, Santiago Piedrahita Montoya, will hold the position until February 1, 2016, date from which he will lead another business organization in a sector different from that of Orbis.
The Board of Directors regretted the decision, thanked Santiago for his 20 years of service at Orbis and recognized his important performances at the head of the organization, highlighting the focus of the portfolio and the structuring of the strategy to 2021.
The Orbis Group confirmed that it has begun the selection process to elect its new president through a serious and rigorous procedure that ensures the best leadership for the organization.
Santiago began 20 years ago as a professional in training in the then called Grupo Mundial, a company in which he held different positions: he had the opportunity to lead companies of the Chemical Business in Chile and Brazil, then assumed the leadership of Talent Management for the entire Group and served as Vice President of New Business. He eventually became president of the organization, a position he held for the past three years.
The leader of Grupo Orbis is a Mechanical Engineer from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Master of Science in Engineering Management of The Catholic University of America, Postgraduate in Corporate Finance from the Adolfo Ibáñez University in Chile. He worked at Andercol as Regional Manager of Plastics, was General Manager of Epoxa S.A. in Chile and at Novapol Plásticos – Brazil. He was Vice President of Organizational Development and Business Development of Inversiones Mundial S.A. (today Orbis) where he currently serves as President.
