Mexico. A novelty has been presented in the distribution market. Ultra Chem has been officially appointed as the distributor for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean of BASF's Global Pigments Business Unit, a change that will take effect from 1 January 2016.
"We are convinced that the widespread prestige and recognized quality of BASF pigments in combination with Ultra Chem's efficient commercial service and agile technical support will increase BASF's presence in the market," said Alejandro Iniestra, Commercial Director of Ultra Chem.
BASF said: "We have achieved and maintained a leading position in the pigment market through successful acquisitions and a series of restructuring measures. Part of these strategies now includes creating a New Global Pigments Business Unit, which will allow us to be more focused on supporting our customers' needs."
BASF assures that this restructuring will strengthen and increase its market share for the benefit of its customers since its product approach will ensure that the needs are met by them in a timely manner.
