United States. Sherwin-Williams announced that the Board of Directors elected Steven H. Wunning to lead the Board. Wunning, 64, recently retired as group president of Caterpillar Inc. after 41 years of service.
Caterpillar is a global manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. Wunning was also appointed to the Board of the Compensation and Management Development Committee. The Sherwin-Williams Board currently consists of eleven members, including ten independent directors.
"Steve is an excellent addition to our Board of Directors," said Christopher M. Connor, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sherwin-Williams. "His extensive operational experience gained over 41 years of service at Carterpillar will provide a valuable and independent perspective. We look forward to benefiting from his business knowledge and leadership for the Board, our company and our shareholders for years to come."
