International. Sherwin Williams recently announced that its current president and director in Mexico, Pablo García Casas, will now be in charge of the presidency and general management of the company's Latin American division.
With this move, the company seeks to promote the common collaboration of resources between the North American division and the business units in Latin America. "None of these organizational changes affect our reportable segments for our third quarter or future periods, nor do they affect our leadership or organizational structure of the Paint Stores Group in North America," said John G. Morikis, president and global chief operating officer of the U.S. firm.
"Our goal is to promote collaboration in pooling resources between our North American unit and Latin American business units to accelerate growth in both regions." It will wait for the company to decide whether to appoint a new person to the position that Garcia will leave in Mexico, or if this country enters the Latin American division.
