Cuba. The University of Matanzas Camilo Cienfuegos reported that it continues to successfully develop products and services aimed at solving corrosion problems.
These products are created by the Center for Studies of Anticorrosives and Surfactants of the Faculty of Chemical and Mechanical Engineering, and are aimed at the conservation of the structure in the transport sector with which, as they indicate, they can ensure the prolongation of the useful life of the cars and their maintenance being almost 10 years without sheet metal.
As revealed by the local newspaper Girón, one of its outstanding products is that of phosphate solutions. It is a fast-acting anticorrosive for the preparation of oxidized metal surfaces, which thoroughly cleans the metal surface, removes rust and forms a protective layer resistant to deformations and aggressive action of the atmosphere.
The University of Matanzas, due to its research, has received several awards from the Cuban Academy of Sciences.
