Evonik
Thinking about road safety, Evonik presents its new reactive resin DEGAROUTE, a component made up of small glass particles embedded in the marking material which reflect the light of the headlights, thus illuminating the way through the darkness.
Titanium dioxide mixed with the material acts in combination with the pearls as a mirror. Thanks to the three-dimensional structure of the marking, the pearls remain intact even under heavy loads, even in regions where more than 80,000 vehicles pass through per day.
Conventional road markings should be repeated up to 2 times a year, with DEGAROUTE resin they are maintained for up to six years. This is in favor of safety, since workshops often involve a greater risk of accidents. It also helps the environment because reducing traffic jams means less CO2 emissions.
