Stepan in partnership with Elevance announce a new surfactant derived from natural oils, which has the function of replacing solvents, it is TEPOSOL MET-10U.
The applications of this bio-based surfactant are wide, from the removal of concin oils, through adhesives, coatings and paints, combining sustainability with the improvement in cleaning performance.
As a paint remover, the TEPOSOL MET-10U achieves safe and efficient extraction of latex paint at a concentration of 5% in the aqueous phase compared to 100% of solvent systems with methylene chloride.
And on the other hand, as an adhesive remover it provides a removal at 5% concentration in the aqueous phase compared to 100% of N-Methyl Pyrrolidone.
