International. The American company Carboline Company announced the launch of a new technological fire protection coating.
This epoxy intumescent flame retardant product is two-component, solvent-free coating designed to provide fire protection in both hydrocarbons for oil and gas installations.
"One of the key criteria when we were developing the formulation was that it had to be easy to mix and apply. Some of the industry's current products have complicated their mixing radios, even with even more complicated material preparation requirements," said Dallas Finch, Carboline's global research and development chair.
The product is called Pyroclad X1. Its uniform spray density, combined with a high-thickness film, and fast coating time facilitate application.
