United States. PPG Industries announced that it has completed the acquisition of certain assets of Spraylat Corp., a privately owned industrial coatings company based in Pelham, NY. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands PPG's industrial business capabilities for liquid and powder coatings.
Spraylat products are used in industrial markets such as auto parts, powdered architectural coatings, transportation; and in general niches such as electronic devices, metal office furniture and storage. The company had annual sales of approximately US$125 million in 2011.
