Mexico. The German company of painting systems and final assembly for car and aircraft bodies, Dürr, received with its subsidiary in Mexico the Volkswagen Group Award, granted by the German parent company based in that Latin country.
This award recognized services at the vehicle manufacturer's plant in Puebla. In 2010 and 2011, Dürr from Mexico has installed together with colleagues from Germany more than 100 painting robots. Robots are used, among other things, for the interior painting of car bodies, as well as the painting of bumpers. In the course of the installation, robots, paint booths and transport systems were also modified.
Dürr also highlighted that it has delivered a washing system for car bodies between the application of the first layer and base.
The Volkswagen Group Award was given to 18 suppliers in the United States. With this, Volkswagen recognizes the services of parts and equipment suppliers and service companies in its subsidiaries in Chattanooga (USA) and Puebla (Mexico).
