United States. According to the American Chemical Council, the activity of this sector reported in the month of August its highest increase in the last five months, which they consider as a sign of economic recovery in the North American nation.
According to the Chemical Activity Barometer (CAB) it grew by 0.4% during the month in question to 89.4% after the gains of 0.2% recorded in July. This index includes points such as sales, production, and stock prices.
This index is achieved from the information reported by chemists and sectors that have to do with the production of pigments, resins, chlorine and other basic industrial chemicals, in addition to taking into account data from the companies and schedules worked in this industry.
Finally, the report indicates that chemical prices continue to decline; in contrast, company shares grew and production and inventories remained stable.
