Argentina. The local construction sector fell by 1.5% in June, which means the third consecutive month down, to close the first half of this year with a decline of 0.8%.
The market for paints and coatings for this sector was also affected by the numbers mentioned above when reporting during the month in question a representative decline of 14%.
However, construction activity in Argentina in June decreased its rate of decline, compared to April which reported 3.9% and in May which registered 8.8 compared to the same periods in 2011.
Analysts expect construction to continue to decline for the second half of 2012.
