Latin America. Thanks to the current moment of the coatings industry in Latin America, and the economic and urban development, the Chinese company Fenchem announced that it will increase its presence in this market taking advantage of the high demand in the residential and road construction industries.
Fenchem's coatings division reported a 50% increase in figures for the first quarter of 2012, compared to the same period last year, mainly due to the cellulose products business line, and this year expects to improve those figures with its market incursion in Mexico.
"We are very pleased with our performance in the first quarter. It is encouraging that customer demand is experiencing a great moment in the coatings business during the first quarter. We saw a good start to fiscal year 2012," said Jian Sun, director of the coatings department.
The company has traditionally produced cellulose products, including Nitrocellulose, cellulose ethers and C9-C5 resins.
