Mexico. In line with its plans for growth and strengthening in the Mexican market, the company Masisa dedicated to the production of furniture and wooden boards, has carried out the process of buying Arclin's assets.
Arclin is known in the industry for producing adhesive solutions and coatings for the construction, industrial materials and natural resources markets. The purchase of the assets was made for an amount of US $ 9,000,000.
From this incorporation, the Arclin brand ceases to operate in Mexico and the Masnova Química brand is created.
Leo Schlesinger, CEO of Masisa Mexico, clarified that the company decides to acquire Arclin's assets "given the excellent skills that the company has in the country, in addition to the synergies it has with its business and the vertical integration of one of Masisa's main inputs."
The purchase of the brand includes the industrial assets, recipes of the products currently marketed by Arclin in Mexico, as well as an agreement by Arclin International for the transfer of technology, license to use formulations and technical advice.
Both companies will continue their operations independently. Masnova Química will ratify its commitment to the national market and will maintain commercial relations and the supply of resins and chemical specialties in Mexico.
