Dow Chemical

Elastomer for TPO

Engage XLTThe Engage XLT is a new grade of polyolefin elastomers for TPO, designed for the internal and external components of vehicles, which, when combined with polypropylene presents a combination of benefits that were not previously possible with other TPO impact modifiers.

Among the advantages of the Engage XLT is its impact efficiency that allows a lower elastomer load in the TPO, and together with the improvement of the results of rigidity and melting flow, it offers the possibility of molding thin-walled parts reducing the final weight and fuel consumption.

Thus, these parts can have up to 10% less weight, improving the times of the molding cycle and the demolding characteristics thanks to the reduced thickness of the wall.
