United States. The company announced the opening of its new global design center for the Americas region headquarters located in South Carolina. This space includes 20,000 m2 for studios with a capacity of 30 employees including graphic designers, color stylists, customer service, marketing, among others.
The center also includes a new product sampling, research and development laboratory with an added capacity for the production of high-performance coatings.
"Now designers of automotive, consumer electronics, cosmetics and lifestyle products can work with AkzoNobel to create their own version of color, specific feel and a single special effect to differentiate themselves from other brands and add value to their products," the official statement reads.
The new facility is presenting the Sixth Annual Global Color Trends Convention from Forese, AkzoNobel's global color renewal and design group, to assist designers in their creative processes.
