Latin America. An open call for the selection of a coating system for the maintenance of transmission towers of the companies of the ISA group was launched by the University of Antioquia and the company Interconexión Eléctrica S.A, ISA, the largest company for the construction and operation of linear infrastructure systems in electricity and connectivity in telecommunications in Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia and Central America.The call aims to study the behavior of five anticorrosive paint systems available on the market for the protection of the electricity transmission infrastructure of the ISA Group companies in Colombia, Brazil and Peru; so that the best system in terms of implementation, cost and performance in each country can be determined.
Interested suppliers may submit a single product that is already tested (formulations in development are not allowed) and, in addition, they must provide company information, economic proposal with costs in local currency and US dollars, as well as a technical sheet that includes: compatibility with alkyd-based resin, experience of use in electric transmission towers, duly certified product tests or studies, specifications of surface preparation and application of the product and first recommended compatible with the product in case of application on bare steel.
In Medellín, Colombia, a presentation of the project will be held on May 10, 2010, between 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Calle 12 Sur No. 18 – 168
