Four new ice-phobic coatings products with room temperature vulcanizing (RTV), and with one of the curing systems consisting of fluorosilicone and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) coatings, were launched by Nusil Technology.
Two of the new additions – R-3975 and R-3930 – contain fluorosilicone, RTV silicone elastomers for coating and for sealing and adhesion applications requiring solvents, as well as for fuel resistance such as JP8 and DiEGME. The R-3975 maintains endurance over a wide range of operating temperatures.
The R-1009 and R-1082 coatings are similar in part, containing RTV silicone elastomers for use in ice-phobic applications that do not require fuel or resistance solvents.
These coatings are ideal for protecting aircraft wings, control surfaces, engines, ships, wind turbines, vehicle surfaces, blocking walls and power lines, among others, from ice buildup.
