Colombia. With the presence of renowned researchers from the United States, Mexico, Brazil and Chile, the X Corrosion Congress and I International Integrity Congress concluded in Bogotá, which was attended by more than 130 people including industrialists, academics and researchers.The program included a failure analysis course with engineer Alberto Monsalve, from the Department of Metallurgical Engineering of the University of Santiago de Chile; as well as the tank inspection course under the API 663 standard, and the interventory course in the application of industrial coatings.
The contest, held between August 12 and 14, was organized by the Colombian Association of Corrrosión and Portección, Ascor, in partnership with the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia, and the Free University.
Quilyam Casallas, president of Ascor and organizer of the event, declared himself satisfied with the quality of the exhibitions and presentations, which addressed different topics through the research carried out by the main universities in the country.
