The technology called "ZinZanja" uses state-of-the-art resins that do not alter the quality or characteristics of the water, do not pollute the air, or generate irritation problems in the installation. Therefore, it can be used in aqueduct and sewer networks, gas and industry from 150 mm to 1200 mm. Likewise, it serves for three rehabilitation solutions: non-structural, partial or totally structural, according to the technical specifications of the project.
In a statement, the firm belonging to the Mexichem group reported that this investment allows to make available to Colombians a system that "makes it possible to rehabilitate pipes having practically a new tube inside the existing one, without the need to open a trench."
The launch of this technology is part of an infrastructure investment plan undertaken by the company, which in 2008 demanded resources of US$36 million.
