With its usual market share, Evonik shows its antifoamers: AIRASE 4655, AIRASE 5355 and AIRASE 5655.
First of all, the AIRASE 4655, is an antifoaming developed to control and eliminate foams in a wide range of water-based systems, especially in consumer adhesives, printing paints, pigment grinding, overprinting varnishes and coatings.
Being a relatively compatible organic oil-based foamer, it is easy to incorporate and has excellent compatibility with high shear stability. It is recommended for applications that need to comply with extensive regulations for food contact, as it does not contain mineral oils, hazardous air pollutants (PAHs), alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs) or acetylene diols.
On the other hand, the AIRASE 5355 is a strong siloxane-based defoamer designed to quickly control and eliminate foam without generating defects in water-based systems, in pigment grinding, in printing paints, overprinting varnish, adhesives and coatings. It can be incorporated into the grinding or completed, depending on the requirements of the formulation.
Finally, the AIRASE 5655 offers excellent compatibility as it is a more compatible siloxane-based defoamer for completion in similar applications. These products do not contain mineral oils, hazardous air pollutants (PAHs) or alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs) and are recommended for water-based applications that need to be in compliance for food contact.
