Hempel presents the Hempadur 15600, its two-component epoxy coating specially designed for the protection of containers in the maritime industry, specifically crude oil transport tanks, with high resistance to constant immersion in hydrocarbons at temperatures up to 90°C.
This coating complies with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) standard for tank protection coatings (PSPC), offering the benefits of applying a pure epoxy coating, with the corrosion protection and temperature resistance of a phenolic epoxy coating.
This product can be applied in two layers to achieve the thickness needed to meet the specifications for most crude oil tanks, and is available in different colors, including light colors highly resistant to oil stains, facilitating inspection and identification of defects.
For shipyards, the Hempadur 15600 has fast drying and curing, after 6 hours it can be reapplied, saving time and maintenance costs in dry docks, and allows application in temperatures as low as -5°C, providing greater flexibility in applications during the winter.
