Clariant
Clariant's Genamin Gluco 50 additive is a neutralizing additive for water paints based on renewable sources without risk labels, making it a special product for certified eco-friendly paints.
The product is used to adjust the pH between 8-10 to create a coating system with minimal interaction between its components, and unlike other neutralizing agents such as ammonia or caustic soda, this additive improves the performance and quality profile of the formulation.
Additionally, it can be used as a replacement for aminomethyl propanol (AMP) as it often shows superior performance to it, and also reduces the complexity of formulations by minimizing the number of additives in a paint recipe.
Genamin Gluco 50 is a dimethylglucamide, an amine of sugar or glucamine. Its chemical name is N, N-Dimethyl-D-Glucamine.
