China. German chemical specialist Lanxess successfully started its new ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) plant in Changzhou (Jiangsu Province), China. With the progressive acceleration of the new plant, the company completes its global EPDM asset base.
Over the next few months Lanxess will be running the sampling and approval processes with customers. The new plant will produce a total of ten premium grades of EPDM tailored to the needs of Chinese and Asian customers.
The plant has a nominal capacity of 160,000 metric tons per year. It is located in the Riverside Changzhou Yangtze Industrial Park, with access to excellent storage and loading facilities.
