Latin American Federation of Paintings began operations

International. After a meeting held on January 24 in Mexico City, the Latin American Federation of Paints – Latinpin – an entity that brings together associations of manufacturers and technicians from various Latin American countries, entered into operations.

With the presence of representatives from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay and Ecuador, the decisions taken in previous meetings were made official, the statutes of the federation were approved and the election of its leaders ratified. Javier Maldonad, of Anafapyt of Mexico, was elected president; having as vice presidents Dilson Ferreira, from Abrafati, and Ignacio Bersztein, from Atipat from Argentina.

One of the main objectives of LatinPin is to increase the representativeness of the region in major global debates related to paintings. At the same time, provide development opportunities for joint actions, especially those related to sustainability and the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge.

"The idea of the Latin American federation had already been maturing for some time, having been discussed on several occasions with the leaders of other countries. At Abrafati 2013, the presence of representatives of various associations made it possible to hold a meeting in which there was consensus on the need for a common forum of representation. From that moment on, the process began resulting in its creation," said Dilson Ferreira, Executive Chairman of Abrafati.
