Argentina. The paints and coatings sector in the South American country would exceed this year the 2012 million liters it registered in 2013, according to estimates by the director of Administration and Finance of the company Sinteplast, Claudio Rodríguez.
The businessman referred to the growth of the sector in the last three years, highlighting the immediately previous year as the best of all. For 2014, despite the weak start, the year will close positively. The architectural sector dominates the market with the commercialization of 157 million liters out of the total volume. Sinteplast participates with 22% of the market.
As for the share of imported products, Rodríguez stressed that the automotive segment is the one that lives this event the most, since it exceeds 50%, while in industrial, imports reach between 10 and 15%.
