Colombia. Through the Indo-American Educational Corporation (CEI), last August it was notified that the South American country is now a full member of the Icao (International Civil Aviation Organization) Trainair Plus program.
This accreditation was the result of collective work led by its directors and by Pedro Ravelo, course preparer, and instructor Juan Manuel Álvarez, expert in the subject of paintings and inspector certified by NACE International, who designed, prepared and validated under the auspices of the ICAO Global Aviation Training Office, its first Set of Standardized Didactic Material (CMDN) entitled "Aeronautical Painting" and held last May in Bogotá.
The high level with which the course was prepared was based on the development of a competency instruction characterized by being oriented to the search for performance in the workplace, based on the updated rules and procedures applicable to aircraft.
In order to consolidate the Course Development Unit (UDC)-Trainair Plus Office, the CIS will continue with the achievement of other certification courses endorsed by ICAO with the support of the expert in topics such as corrosion, composite materials and others that allow Colombia to lead at the Latin American level, mainly, the issue of high-level training for international civil aviation with these other "Sets of Standardized Didactic Materials" CMDN under the Trainair Plus methodology.
