Colombia. From September 22 to 27, the Colombian Association of Corrosion and Protection (Ascor) will hold a new course of coating applicators, which will be held in the city of Villavicencio.
The course is aimed at operators of abrasive jet surface treatment equipment and coating applicators with spray methods. The participant must have a demonstrated experience of at least one year in surface treatment activities and application of coatings for corrosion control.
Some of the topics of the course are the following:
- Coating Technology.
- Surface preparation standards and procedures (abrasive jet, mechanical and manual techniques)
- Coating application techniques (manual methods, spraying with airless and low pressure equipment)
- Interpretation of technical data sheets and coating mixing process.
- Quality control in coating application processes (EPH calibration, EPS, adhesion, film continuity, environmental conditions).
