United States. The specialty chemicals company, Croda International, has been included, for the second consecutive year, as one of the 100 Most Sustainable Global Corporations in the World.
Croda was ranked 28th on the list. In its tenth year, the index evaluates twelve quantitative indicators covering the financial, social and environmental performance of around 4,000 of the world's largest listed companies.
The recognition came a day after sustainability analysts TruCost identified Croda as one of the 34 Natural Capital Decoupling Leaders, which they define as companies that "increase their revenues, while decreasing the natural capital impacts on their operations and supply chain over the past five years."
Steve Foots, CEO of Croda, commented: "Sustainability is an important point of differentiation for our business, and I am delighted that both our 100th position globally and TruCost's recognition support this. We are confident that our strategy will generate greater benefits for the environment in which we operate, for our customers, for the people we work with and for our shareholders."
