International. Clariant announced the launch of its new pigments for seed coloring – the first dedicated range of dyes for the agricultural industry.
The company seeks to facilitate color choice and purchase for seed companies and manufacturers of seed treatment products.
For Clariant, the seed treatment products sector is one of the fastest growing segments of the agrochemical industry. The range under the Agrocer brand currently consists of the five powder-shaped pigments used for treated coloured seeds: Agrocer Red 482; Agrocer Red 112; Agrocer Blue 153; Agrocer Green 007; Agrocer Violet 023. High-quality pigments are easy to apply at any stage of treatment and can also be used in fertilizers and pesticide products.
The company said that most of these products include pigments that are tolerant under 40 CFR § 180,920 allowing their use in seed treatment formulations in major markets.
