International. Nubiola reported that it has increased its production capacity of the yellow iron oxide Nubifer Y-7050, which was launched two years ago.
This product has been designed to meet the needs in stabilizing high temperatures, resisting weathering, supplying stable yellow pigments for plastic coatings, powder and coil coatings.
Conventional yellow iron oxides resist 190ºC (5 min), while patented encapsulation technology makes the Nubifer Y-7050 stable up to 260ºC (5 min).
The encapsulation is composed of a very thin layer made of inorganic compounds, which improves the heat fastness of the pigment, preventing water from being released in the form of hydrated iron oxide.
"We are finalizing the expansion of our production lines to reach three times the capacity originally planned to meet market demand," said Fabiana Requeijo, product manager for iron oxide.
