Colombia. Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc (MSC) and MicroBlend Inc announced the creation of a new company that will be located in the city of Cali. The new company will operate under the name MicroBlend Colombia SAS.
This company will produce the liquid components to make paint as part of its MicroBlend automated painting machine system for sale in home center stores of Colombian origin.
The 120-square-foot system dispenses the exact amount of raw material and dye components for interior and exterior latex paints and primers in any color and gloss.
"MicroBlend systems have been working in Colombia for three years with great acceptance by customers. We were looking for a manufacturing partner to complement our expansion in Latin America and are very excited to have Momentive Specialty Chemicals join us in this joint venture," said Mel Sauder, President, Latin America, MicroBlend.
