Venezuela. Factors such as lower input production and restrictions on the delivery of foreign exchange have been the main causes of the skyrocketing prices of construction materials.
As reported by the newspaper El Universal, coatings for floors and walls are one of the five materials (clay products, concrete, plumbing materials and hydropneumatic systems) that have presented the greatest increases in their price.
According to data from the Central Bank of Venezuela, last July this type of coatings increased their price by 25.5%; so far this year (last seven months) the increase was 88.2% and in one year the variation has been 97.1%.
