Germany. The industrial paint machine company Dürr reported that it is investing around 10 million euros in the expansion of its headquarters, due to the positive growth prospects that the company has. The test centre for paint technology located in Bietigheim-Bissingen has been redesigned and improved.
Similarly, the company has also invested in a third plant for the assembly of robots.
"We are receiving more and more requests for paint tests. We have expanded the test center to meet this demand. With the new production plant we increased our total robot assembly operations from 6,600 m² to 17,900 m². This represents an improvement in our operational workflows, as we can do without the premises in the locality we had rented," explained Dr. Hans Schumacher, head of Dürr's application technology division.
The installed robot assembly systems were commissioned at the new production plant in recent weeks. Areas have also been created for logistics and quality control operations. The new building is connected via a corridor to the existing assembly facilities.
