Brazil. Chemical firm Wacker strengthened its presence in South America with the recent inauguration and expansion of its technical center, which includes a training center, near São Paulo.
The new regional competence center for the region combines research and development, application technology, and basic and advanced facilities for silicone polymer applications, all under one roof. The expansion focuses on polymer binder laboratories that are mainly used in chemical applications for civil construction.
The company assured that this expansion became necessary due to the strong economic growth that the region is presenting, particularly in the field of coatings, coatings and sophisticated construction applications.
Wacker stressed that they are continuously investing in their technical center in Brazil, with the aim of enhancing and improving competition in research and development, as well as the local application of technology and services for their customers.
