Colombia. La Asociación Colombiana de Corrosión y Protección (Ascor) develops different training programs for professionals in order to keep all members of this industry updated.
Ascor has programs such as the School of Coating Applicators, which is aimed at abrasive jet operators and operators of equipment for the treatment of metal surfaces, as well as polymer coating applicators for corrosion control. The course takes place in the city of Barrancabermeja, department of Santander, center of the country.
Similarly, the association also offers the course of intervention in coating application, for professionals and technicians linked to the activities of auditing in corrosion control processes through coatings. This course is also held in Barrancabermeja and in the capital Bogotá.
Other trainings that Ascor has are called: technical advice on monitoring and corrosion control, control and corrosion in industrial maintenance.
These workshops are carried out thanks to the agreement that Ascor has with the Seine which seeks to encourage and promote technological and scientific research on the causes, as well as mechanisms of damage to engineering materials and their ecological and environmental impact.
