Mexico. After the rainy season, work began again on coating the walls of the Deep Drainage, a 2.5-kilometer facility to which innovative and resistant materials against bacteria will be applied.
The permeable solutions that will be applied will allow the pipelines to perform perfectly for a period of 15 more years. The company Comex provides the applicable materials, among which the high penetration adhesive to the concrete pore Nuklad 105 stands out, an epoxy sealant of two components and 100% solids, which ensures excellent sealing of the concrete and great adhesion between it and the monolithic folders. It can be applied on green concrete.
Two coatings will also be implemented on site: 210-S and 210-G, ideal for high tensile strength. In 2008 these applications were used for the first time in Mexico to prevent a collapse of the pipeline after the rains of 2009.
