Netherlands. AkzoNobel announced the departure of Jan Karel van der Staay, Advocate General, who will be replaced by Sven Dumoulin (pictured), current Secretary of Unilever.Van der Staay made an important contribution to the recent transformation of AkzoNobel and participated in the acquisition of ICI and related companies.
Dumoulin, current group secretary at Unilever, has worked as a lawyer and professor in corporate and commercial law, and was an advisory member of the Dutch Corporate Governance Codes Committee.
Hans Wijers, President and CEO of AkzoNobel, thanked Jan Karel for his efforts and contribution to the company's transformation, and wished Sven Dumoulin every success in his new role.
