U.S. USA The multinational BASF announced on July 1 the increase in the sales prices of several of its products, such as acids and acrylics. This increase, which will be US$0.10 per pound, will be effective in North and South America initially.
Some of the products that will suffer the aforementioned increase will be glacial acrylic acid, methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate.
These increases are due to rising operating costs and the untimely increase in commodity prices associated with the tight supply of propylene, oxo-alcohols and acrylates on the market.
