Mexico. More and more people are interested in the training and certification program in Cathodic Protection, Coating Inspection and Interior Corrosion that NACE International will develop during May and August. The program that will be developed in the Mexican city of Cuernavaca will be coordinated by the company Corrosion and Protection Engineering will begin with the Cathodic Protection course that includes topics such as the basic concepts of electricity, electrochemistry and corrosion; the theory and different cathodic protection systems, as well as the techniques for inspecting their effectiveness.
Similarly, the course provides theoretical knowledge and practical foundations for evaluating galvanic systems and printed current in cathodic protection systems.
The first level of this module will be held between May 18 and 23, while the second will be between May 25 and 30. There will be deepened in the fundamentals of cathodic protection, safety, field measurements, vagabond currents and interference in cathodic protection, data recording, analysis of information and survey data for design, among others.
The program only requires participants to have a high school certificate or equivalent; six months of professional experience in cathodic protection and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. It will also benefit anyone responsible for inspecting, recording and measuring the effectiveness of such systems.
