In the following pages, chemical engineer Vanessa Palomo, also of Chilean nationality, describes the most important characteristics of dispersants in paints and coatings, their variety, as well as the dispersion mechanisms.
"Some problems that may be signs that the dispersant is not working properly in the process can be found in paint stability tests," says Vanessa, who points them out at the end of her article.

Finally, as Professional of the Month, we highlight the trajectory and current roadmap of Santiago Ángel, who since April of this year serves as commercial manager of Químicoplásticos, a Colombian company with a long tradition in the distribution of raw materials for the paint industry.
