The holiday season stands out for being the time when Colombians most paint their homes and renew their spaces, according to Acopinturas, an association that represents the country's paint, coating and ink industries. Hence, in the first days of this month it has launched the campaign "To paint it was said!".
Through coordinated work with companies, this sectoral chapter of Acoplásticos focuses its management on promoting sustainability, promoting high quality standards in the market and developing actions to promote formalization in the sector. In this line, Alfa, Pinturas Corona, Invesa-Sapolin, Pintuco, Pinturas Bler, Philaac SAS, Pinturas Tito Pabón, Pintuland, and Químicoplásticos have joined this campaign.
According to a statement from the association, To paint it was said! Its purpose is to invite you to paint more and to know the benefits of decorating and painting spaces more frequently and, above all, "the importance of using quality paints, which comply with environmental sustainability standards, which are safe, and that do not generate impacts on health".
Additionally, the campaign will present color trends, tips to paint better and with the best results, inspiration to renovate and transform spaces such as home and office, and tips for choosing safe and resistant paints, among others.
The president of Acoplásticos, Daniel Mitchell, said that the consumption of paints per inhabitant in Colombia is quite low, even if compared to countries in the region with similar or lower incomes.
"With our campaign ¡A pintar se dijo!, we want to invite citizens to know all the benefits of painting their spaces and avoid the use of paints that do not meet quality standards or that generate impacts to the environment or health," he said.
