France. PPG announced that it was awarded the Airbus Best Performance Award for the timely delivery of 100% of flight deck windows with zero quality deviations.
The company was chosen as one of three suppliers selected from hundreds in the equipment and systems category to receive the Airbus Best Performer Award, which is part of the aircraft manufacturer's Quality and Supply Chain Improvement (SQIP) Program.
"PPG is honored to be recognized by Airbus," says Brent Wright, GLOBAL HEAD of PPG. "Through the hard work and dedication of PPG's employees in our aerospace business, especially in Huntsville and Toulouse, we have maintained delivery performance. This award is also a tribute to the strong collaboration and communication between our companies, and PPG looks forward to continuing this achievement."
The award was accepted by Wright, along with Didier Biron, PPG's key account director for Airbus; Stirling Macfarlane, PPG segment manager, commercial OED transparencies; and Andrew Troller, PPG process quality manager in Huntsville.
The company manufactures the flight deck windows for all Airbus A320 and A330 variants at its facility in Huntsville, Alabama, in the United States.
