Peru. Glasurit, BASF's Automotive Refinish brand, announced the modernization of its Automotive Refinish Training Center at its Callao plant. The renewed Refinish Competence Centre (RCC), focused on the professionalization of the automotive market, is part of Glasurit's network of Training Centers around the world.
"At BASF we collaborate with the training of professionals to guarantee the correct application of our products through the training of personnel at all levels, both in large workshops and those who work independently," said Juan Carlos Pacheco, head of the automotive refinish division of BASF Peruana S.A.
Techniques and products
This refinish training center offers an opportunity to learn and gain mastery in the use of automotive repainting products and techniques. The training offer also includes a wide range of courses on the optimization of the use of Glasurit, and different techniques of application and color equalization, aimed at improving the efficiency and competitiveness of specialists.
The RCC allows for semi-personalized training with a maximum of eight participants with theoretical and practical classes. The training is carried out in general processes, product handling, punctual repairs, solvent line, water baseline, among others, according to the level reached the staff receives a certification.
"The client who trains their staff the most gets better results. We hope to train one hundred specialists per year in small groups, approximately two trainings per month with eight participants per session," says Juan Carlos Pacheco.
Currently, BASF Peruana serves 44 workshops in the local market, among which are large dealers and multi-brand workshops such as BMW, Subaru, Honda, Mercedes Benz, Jeep, Dogde, Chrysler, Kia, Nissan, Hyundai, MG, Peugeot, Fiat, Chevrolet among others.
Sustainable actions usually directly compensate workshops.
To begin with, workshops use less material thanks to the fact that funds with high covering power rationalize resources and save money. They also protect the environment and at the same time save energy costs, as they consume less energy thanks to our extremely fast drying lacquers.
