International. Perstorp agreed to sell Capa, its caprolactone business, including the production site in Warrington, to Ingevity for approximately €590 million. The business has an annual revenue of approximately €150 million.
Under Perstorp's leadership over the past 10 years, Capa's operating margins have increased by nearly 50% by investing in production and new product lines, which in turn have increased both the customer base and geographic reach.
Ingevity will acquire Perstorp UK Ltd, including all of Perstorp's caprolactone activity.
The sale of Capa will generate significant value and is in line with Perstorp's track record of successful divestments, such as BioFuels Business' most recent and, in 2017, the Belgian site on Gent.
In addition, it will allow the Perstorp Group to focus its business opportunities and future growth prospects on its Poliol, Oxo and Food businesses, maximizing opportunities such as;
Continue to build leadership in the polio business.
expand markets for the phthalate-free plasticizer, Pevalen.
Expand product markets in the area of animal nutrition.
Establishing its solutions for the environment as the first choice (certified products based on renewable raw materials).
