Colombia. On November 30 and December 1, the Training on the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of GHS Chemicals will be held in the city of Bogotá.
This meeting is aimed at those responsible for the classification of products, quality personnel, environment, research and development, safety and health at work, occupational medicine professionals, auditors, interested in the subject.
The aim is to identify and communicate hazards and classify substances by means of Safety Data Sheets and Labels in accordance with the sixth revised edition of the GHS.
The content of this meeting will handle the following topics:
- Introduction, objective, scope of the system.
- Decree 1496 of 2018, Ministry of Labor, by which the EMS is adopted and other provisions on chemical safety are issued.
- Classification of physical, health and environmental hazards (pure substances and mixtures).
- Content and elaboration of EMS Labels (theoretical-practical exercise).
- Content and bases for the preparation of Safety Data Sheets.
- WMS labels and transport labels how they are combined.
- Data sources and information search.
