Colombia. For the month of November, the Colombian Association of Corrosion Engineers (Acicor), together with NACE International, are preparing two new courses on pipe corrosion integrity management, which will be held at the Dann Carlton Hotel in Bogotá.
From November 13 to 17, the course on Integrity Management for Pipeline Corrosion will be held, which was designed to provide key training for Integrity engineers whose work is focused on the implementation and administration of a pipeline system integrity program.
This course is aimed at pipe engineers or anyone who manages and implements a program for a piping system, it lasts five days (Monday to Friday) from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
For its part, the second course is Direct Evaluation, and will be held from November 19 to 23.
This course focuses on internal, external corrosion and the direct evaluation of stress corrosion cracking along with pre and post evaluation, quality control, data analysis and integration and remediation and mitigation activities.
This course is aimed at individuals responsible for the implementation and/or administration of a pipeline system integrity program with an emphasis on verifying integrity and optimizing its maintenance.
For both courses no previous training is needed, but it is advisable to have 8 years of work experience or have 4 years of work experience plus a degree in a 4-year career in physical sciences or engineering.
