Latin America. BASF's automotive paints division was the winner in the Sustainability category for the "Annual Supplier Conference and Awards 2018", an award granted by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) to suppliers in Latin America.
This is the second consecutive year that BASF has received this award, which recognised companies that stood out in 2017 for their commitment to delivering value with innovation, quality, assurance, competitiveness, aligned with FCA's core principles: proactive collaboration, continuous improvement, integrity, empathy and advocacy, long-term thinking, transparency, sense of urgency and personal responsibility.
"Receiving this award shows that we are on the right track to deliver solutions that can make our customers' production even more efficient when it comes to the intelligent use of resources. Sustainability is one of BASF's main strategic axes and we are very proud of this important achievement," says Marcos Fernandes, Head of BASF's Paints Division for South America.
The award was presented to Marcos Fernandes and Gisela Pinheiro, BASF's Vice President of Materials and Functional Solutions for South America, during a ceremony held on June 26 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
