International. Sartomer, a commercial line of Arkema, is launching a new range of LM (low migration) acrylate monomers and oligomers, designed specifically for the formulation of ultraviolet light-curable inks and coatings, dedicated to indirect food contact applications.
With more than 50 years of leadership as a specialist supplier of acrylate resins, Sartomer has faced the most changing regulatory environments and has learned to adjust its offerings to anticipate what comes next. This experience, together with solid chemical and market knowledge, make Sartomer a valuable partner to meet the strictest requirements of current indirect food contact standards and those to come.
Many of Sartomer's standard products already respect the general criteria used for the selection of raw materials, including compliance with specific regulatory standards. However, Sartomer is taking this approach a step further, considering the presence of low-level waste that may have a greater tendency to migration. Therefore, each grade within the Sartomer LM range is produced according to the exact standards to avoid the risk of cross-contamination, while a comprehensive risk assessment has been carried out to address the presence of NIAS (unintentionally added substances).
The design of the LM product is also reinforced by a systematic quality control analytical procedure that ensures that the final product conforms to a detailed sales specification.
All products included in the initial offering are REACH and TSCA compliant.
